The Procedure For Transferring The Registry

Q. State The Procedure For Transferring The Registry Of An Indian Ship From One Indian Port To Another? The registry of any Indian ship may be transferred from one Indian port to another Indian port with the prior approval of D.G shipping. All persons entered as owner and mortgagees in the register book must apply to the registrar at the vessels existing port of registry. Such a transfer does not affect the rights of the owners or the mortgagees.
